The Beginner’s Mind has many possibilities!
Sensei Harry Ng Cheng Kan began studying Aikido in 1962 under Sensei Teddy Lee Meng Kam, who was a student of Sensei Masahilo Nakazono. It was Sensei Masahilo Nakazono who founded the first Aikido dojo in Singapore, the Aikido Federation.
In 1987, Aikikai Singapore was established with Sensei Harry being the Chief Instructor. Aikido became popular and recognized internationally under his leadership. As a result of this, more Aikido Dojos were established by his contemporary, students as well as those of his students' students.
In 2007, Sensei Harry retired from Aikikai Singapore and founded Shoshin Aikikai Singapore as a place for his close students to train with a "Beginners Mindset".
